1. Services Provided
YYC Medical Aesthetics offers medical aesthetic treatments including but not limited to: neuromodulator injections (Botox), dermal fillers, chemical peels, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, microneedling, and medical-grade facials. All treatments are performed or supervised by licensed medical professionals.
Our services are elective, cosmetic in nature, and do not constitute emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department.
2. Eligibility
To receive treatments at YYC Medical Aesthetics, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older (or have documented parental/guardian consent where applicable)
- Provide complete and accurate health history information
- Disclose all medications, supplements, and medical conditions at the time of consultation
- Not be pregnant or breastfeeding (certain treatments are contraindicated)
We reserve the right to decline or postpone treatment if, in the clinical judgment of our providers, a treatment is not safe or appropriate for you at that time.
3. Consultations & Informed Consent
All patients must complete a health intake form and provide informed consent before any treatment is administered. Informed consent means you have been advised of:
- The nature and purpose of the proposed treatment
- Reasonably foreseeable risks, side effects, and complications
- Alternative treatment options
- The expected outcome, with no guarantee of specific results
You have the right to withdraw consent and decline any treatment at any time before it begins.
4. Booking, Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Appointments may be booked through our online booking portal or by contacting the clinic directly.
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid a cancellation fee
- Late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) or no-shows may be subject to a fee of up to $75 CAD, charged at our discretion
- Repeat no-shows may result in a deposit requirement for future bookings
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to provider availability, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control
5. Payment & Fees
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept major credit cards, debit, and e-transfer. All prices are in Canadian dollars and are subject to applicable taxes.
Medical aesthetic treatments are generally not covered by provincial health insurance (Alberta Health Care). Patients are responsible for all costs associated with their treatments. Pricing is available upon consultation and is subject to change without notice.
6. Results & No Guarantee
Results from aesthetic treatments vary by individual and are influenced by factors including age, skin type, lifestyle, metabolism, and adherence to aftercare instructions. YYC Medical Aesthetics does not guarantee any specific outcome. Before and after photographs shown on our website or social media represent individual patient results and are not a guarantee of what you will experience.
7. Aftercare Compliance
Optimal results and your safety depend on following post-treatment instructions provided by your provider. YYC Medical Aesthetics is not liable for adverse outcomes resulting from failure to follow aftercare guidelines, including but not limited to sun exposure, strenuous exercise, or use of contraindicated products following treatment.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YYC Medical Aesthetics and its staff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or receipt of our services. Our total liability for any claim arising from services rendered shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service in question.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for gross negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
